So I wrote a huge fucking post earlier. It had links and pictures and quotes...and the damn hell ass Doteasy blog engine ate it.

So here's a quick shout out to the man.

We were at a Walgreen's on Dickerson Rd. in Nashville earlier tonight where we served by a very enthusiastic German night manager. This guy was on the ball. He offered us coupons, "cuddled" our beverages (his words, not mine), and ended the transaction with a cheery, "We will not be undersold!"

I noted upon departure that this guy was really into his job. Chip noted, "Well he's German. That's how they roll. Through Poland."

There are some people who build others up instead of tearing them down. These people allow others into their world and make them welcome. They are the very definition of "gracious." These are the people that you remember your whole life ...whether or not you keep in touch with them.

RIP Kris Bristow. I'm sorry that I kept saying, "I need to get back in touch with him sometime." Time ran out.

This blog engine, as it turns out, has a very short character limit. I discovered this yesterday after writing a post that I then had to chop in HALF and it still didn't meet the requirements. Thus causing me to scrap the whole thing. (And it was about hot chicken, too!)

I'm not crazy about the look anyway, so I'm going to be setting up a WordPress site. I've already purchased the URL, now I need to get off my lazy ass and set up WordPress itself. Even though I've just arrived here, I'll be moving shortly. Oh, Doteasy we hardly knew ye.

I'll probably post something lame in the meantime, don't worry.

I'm a dirty, rotten liar.

I know I've been promising an update concerning my adventure to strange and exotic Kentucky. It still hasn't appeared, has it?

Well, I tend to get distracted by shiny things. Like programming a new photo gallery for this here blog-a-ma-jig. I didn't want to post about the trip sans pics, and I need a gallery for the pics. You see the predicament I find myself in, don't you? I may have to delay the KY post until the gallery is done.

Fear not, however! I will grace yon e-pages with a different topic in its stead. Don't like it? Too bad. My blog, my rules. Nyah.

Eureka! I have finally set this up. I suppose I'm part of the "blogoshpere" or some other nonsense like that. So...welcome.

There's no particular reason you'd want to read my ramblings. But here they are. I just thought it would be good for me to get some of this crap out of my head and onto...paper. Digital paper. Daper? Nah, too close to diaper. (It probably will be a load of shit, at times.) We'll stick with teh intarwebs for now. It's very "now" and catchy. A year from now I'll amend this post to whatever the hip word is. You'll never even know I was uncool. Probably because no one is reading this anyway.

Why would you? You don't know me. I'm not famous. I never invented a new way to batter-dip and deep fry anything and I've never been a contestant on a reality show. Nor will I ever. I live in East Nashville with my husband and two cats and I work in Marketing/Advertising/Design. It's an amazing line of work...if you believe in the miracles of modern pharmacology.

I don't plan on watching my fucking language (oops), so if you're dainty, kindly shove off. I do believe in being honest and open about things and try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Feel free to comment. I plan on allowing commenting but bear with me - I'm unfamiliar with Doteasy's blog format so I may not have all the settings up and running yet.
